Motley Kitchen gets folky with songstress Lynn Miles

Singer-songwriter Lynn Miles visits The Motley Kitchen on May 21 as part of the venue's Dinner & Show series.

Miles will be accompanied by guitarist, Keith Glass, formerly of the award-winning country-folk group, Prairie Oyster.

With 13 albums to her credit, Lynn Miles is the winner of three Canadian Folk Music awards, including a 2011 English Songwriter of the Year honour, and a 2003 Juno award for Roots and Traditional Solo Album of the Year.

Through a career that has seen her move from Ottawa to Los Angeles and back again, with stops in Nashville and Austin, Texas, and a touring schedule that regularly takes her through the US, Europe and across Canada, she has always created and performed music with superb artistry that expresses unbridled feeling and vulnerability, a press release said.

Dinner and entertainment combined cost $55, including HST. Only 36 seats are available for dinner.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with the buffet dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m. and wraps up by about 10:15 p.m.

Seats for the show only are also available by pre-paid reservation in advance for $25.
