“The public is welcome to come and meet Grandmaison to get some fabulous information and tips on photography from one of the best,” said a news release.

Grandmaison will be joined by Gerard Courtin, botanist and professor Emeritus from Laurentian University.

Courtin has contributed the text Grandmaison’s latest book, “Ontario,” as he did for his book on Georgian Bay.

Courtin will share his knowledge of the local flora and how these plants have persisted, thrived and recovered in our unique landscape.

The presentation will begin around 7 p.m. at the Nature Chalet, 2309 South Bay Rd. — look for the new sign at the entrance to the Lake Laurentian Conservation Area. Seating is limited.

Book signing and interactions with Grandmaison and Courtin will follow. Earlier in the day, Grandmaison will be signing books at Chapters and on Saturday at Costco.
