Nickel City Noise is helping Sudbury Youth Rocks (SYRP) buy a new van with a fundraiser concert on Jul. 18 at the Little Montreal Bar on Elgin Street, starting at 7:30 p.m.

In a news release, the group said its current van is unsafe and is no longer suitable to transport students, explaining it has “crucial issues with the power steering and transmission.”

All of the proceeds from the $10 tickets to Vanstock, organized with the assistance of Nickel City Noise, goes to the cause, together with the funds raised by their current online campaign on GoFundMe.com.

The lineup for the July 18 show includes performances from:
  • Patrick Wright et les Gauchistes
  • Set In Stone
  • Vintage Slang
  • Olfactory Assault
And there will also be a special opening performance from Sudbury Youth Rocks band VAN HANMER.

Check out the Facebook page for more info on the event.

The Sudbury Youth Rocks Program is run by a group of volunteers dedicated to assisting young people by using their experience as musicians to teach not only music, but life skills, self-esteem, positive peer pressure and community service.
