Sparx is the only Canadian in either the male or the female division to take a spot in the top two at on the World Beatbox Stage.

Canada had a huge impact on the world scene at the event. Alongside Sparx, Canadian beatbox champions Scott Jackson (2012 Canadian Beatbox Champion)? Terry IM “Krnfx” ( 2010 & 2011 Canadian Beatbox Champion), James “Peterpot” McInnes and Joseph “BBK” Bouary (2014 Canadian Champion) also competed at the event.

Kaila Mullady (USA) took the champion title and Sparx couldn’t be happier for her North American friend, beatboxer and mentor.

“I just wanted to make the Top 8,” Sparx said in a news release. “To be placed alongside the best beatboxers in the world — beatboxers who are my mentors — is just amazing. There are no words. I love that I can be here and make such a positive impact for my country.”

Sparx has been turning heads and gracing many media stories with her strong beats and musicality.

Originally from Sudbury, she plans to continue her beatboxing career while going to University in Toronto.
