Ten-year-old Sudbury girl Jazmyn Johns needs your online votes to win a video contest focusing on Canadian history.

As part of the Sudbury Regional Heritage fair, Jazmyn, who just finished Grade 4 at MacLeod Public School, was selected to participate in the Young Citizens Program at the provincial heritage fair, held in Toronto June 13-14.

Participants in the Young Citizens Program make a short video about their heritage fair topic. The videos are posted online, and voting makes up 50 per cent of the score.

Two students in each province or territory will receive a trip to Ottawa this fall to view the films at the Canadian War Museum.

Jazmyn's video is entitled “The Evolution of the City of Greater Sudbury — From 1.85 Billion Years Ago to Today.”

Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on July 5.
