The latest Nightlife on the Rocks — an event just for those over the age of 19 — takes place at Dynamic Earth on July 24.

Discover the theories of the murder of King Tutankhamun, the boy king, with special guest presenter, Dr. Bob Brier, a senior research fellow at Long Island University.

He's conducted research in mummification practices and has investigated some of the world's most famous mummies, including King Tutankhamun.

Brier is the host of the television series "Pyramids, Mummies & Tombs" and "Mummy Detective."

His research has been featured on CNN, 60 Minutes and 20/20 and in The New York Times and Archaeology Magazine. Brier was the first person in 2,000 years to mummify a human cadaver using the exact techniques of the ancient Egyptians.

Brier's subsequent book, "The Murder of Tutankhamen," presented his theory that King Tut, the boy king, was murdered in 1336 B.C. by his prime minister named Aye. This presentation will focus on the forensic scientific evidence that supports the his murder hypothesis.

The event takes place from 7–10 p.m. There's a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres available for purchase.

To register, phone Carey Roy at 705-522-3701, ext. 222 before 2 p.m. July 24. Spaces are limited.
