PGW: ‘Sick Little Thing’ is a sweet little vid

Pistol George Warren continues to be one of Greater Sudbury’s most unique and interesting musical exports.

The band’s new offering, Oceapur 9, is a strange little record about a secret military operation, intergalactic exploitation and outer space espionage. It’s also a heck of a good mix of songs from a band that has a habit of putting out discs with a heck of a good mix of songs.

Pistol George Warren loves to experiment on the edges of pop music, and they do it really darn well.

The video for "Sick Little Thing" highlights the band’s great harmonies, poignant lyrics and their fascination with the darkness — but it’s also a pretty good party record. Go figure. We’re not sure how they do it, but they do.

Don’t be fooled by the Post Rice Krinkles add at the beginning of the vid. It’s supposed to be there.
