While Crossley is based in Nashville, he has strong ties to Canada and, in particular, to Sudbury. He spends a week each year in our area fishing for bass and performing his tunes.

Readers may be familiar with his radio hit “Beautiful World,” which reached #4 on the billboard charts in Canada and the United States.

Crossley began writing and performing songs at an early age. His father has always been a full time musician. He remembers falling asleep quite often to the sound of his father’s band in full rehearsal flight in the family’s living room.

Crossley lived for quite a few years in Toronto, penning songs for film and television and for other performers. The Global Television Network used Crossley’s “Train Goes” for the theme song for the quirky series “Train 48.”

Josh Groban recorded Crossley’s “So She Dances” which was one of the songs which drove record sales on Groban’s “Awake” album. That song was used on Dancing With The Stars, Oprah and in an episode of The Simpsons. More recently, he did a co-write with the Canadian Tenors and that song is on their latest album.

In 2010, Crossley performed a double bill in Sudbury with Canadian Idol winner Theo Tams. In 2013, he performed a stellar opening set for Dala at the Grace Hartman Amphitheare in that year’s Vale Concert Series. He won fans over very quickly at both shows with his strong writing and great vocals.

Crossley has a world class voice similar to Chris Martin of Coldplay. He will perform original songs at the Vale show. Readers may wish to view Crossley’s songs on You Tube including Beautiful World, Fire Escape and his earlier tunes including Guitarman and Train Goes with his early rock band 9 Point Landing.

All concerts in the Vale Series are family friendly, rain or shine events starting promptly at 7 p.m. and ending by 8:30 p.m.

The series has averaged 1,250 in attendance at the monthly shows in 2015.
