Olé! Latin group to play at STC

Award-winning guitarist Johannes Linstead and his ensemble of Spanish guitars, Latin percussion, bass and soulful accordion play at Sudbury Theatre Centre on Oct. 2.

Linstead's rhythms and virtuoso fretwork has earned him the title of Canada’s Guitarist of the Year, a Juno nomination, seven Best Album awards, Billboard Top Ten charting albums in the US, and most recently the Best World Album and People’s Choice Award in the UK.

Known for their high-energy concerts, Linstead and his group often have audiences up on their feet dancing, clapping their hands, and shouting out, "Olé!"

They regularly perform at many prestigious performing arts centres and music festivals, including the famed Catalina Island Jazz Festival in California.
