Blood moon photos keep rolling in (6 photos)

A cloudy evening didn't stop many Sudburians from snapping images (or trying to) of the supermoon eclipse on Sunday evening. We asked you to share some of those photos with us and you responded. We've shared a few of the best ones here.

There was both a supermoon and a lunar eclipse last night, but for many sky-watchers in the North, it amounted to a whole lot of staring at clouds.

Unfortunately, the super moon (which occurs when the moon's orbit brings it to its closest point to Earth) and the rare lunar eclipse that accompanied it, occurred behind a bank of clouds in Northern Ontario.

Still, a few of you managed to snap a few photos before the clouds rolled in.

Did you get any decent images of the supermoon? NorthernLife.ca would love to see them and share them. Send images to [email protected].
