Beware the walking dead this weekend

Keep your eyes peeled for throngs of zombies on Sudbury's streets on Oct. 3

The 2015 Zombie Walk will take place on Saturday, starting at Science North in front of the IMAX theatre at 5 p.m.

Expect blood, guts and brains at this all ages free event. No registration is required, just show up ready to sidle and shuffle along with the horde.

A zombie t-shirt booth will be set up at the end of the walk at the VIA Rail parking lot. Shirts will be sold for $20 with money going towards covering the event costs.

The rules for participants are simple:

1. Obey traffic signals.
2. Stay on the sidewalk.
3. No trespassing on private property.

Motorists and pedestrians, please stifle the urge to run over and smash these zombies as vehicular manslaughter is still illegal.
