Glorious Sons making tour stop in Sudbury

JUNO Award-nominated group The Glorious Sons are set to kick off The Contender Tour this fall, stopping and in Sudbury at Coulson Night Club on Nov. 5.

The Glorious Sons burst on to the Canadian music scene in 2013 with the EP Shapeless Art, produced by John-Angus McDonald of The Trews.

Their current album, The Union (2014), earned them a JUNO nomination for Rock Album of the Year in 2015. The Kingston rockers have sold more than 30,000 singles to date.

They have exceeded 20,000 unit sales of Shapeless Art and The Union combined and have had multiple tracks in the Top 10 on the Mediabase Active Rock Chart, with "Mama" hitting #6, "White Noise" peaking at #2 and "Heavy" sitting at #3.

  • Comprised of vocalist/lyricist Brett Emmons, guitarists Jay Emmons and Andrew Young, bassist Chris Huot and drummer Adam Paquette, the band is set to share the stage with top acts including Weezer, Rob Zombie and Slash. 
  • The Glorious Sons were nominated for Best New Group or Solo Artist: Rock at the 2014 Canadian Radio Music Award and were named Group of the Year and Rock Group of the Year at the 2015 Sirius XM Indie Awards. 
  • The Contender Tour will be The Glorious Sons first time headlining a North America tour.
