Sudbury Indie Cinema is spotlighting female films in a monthly series that opens tonight with the romantic comedy Portrait of a Serial Monogamist.

Co-directors Christina Zeidler and John Mitchell, plus producer Mehernaz Lentin, will be in Sudbury tonight for the screening and a live Q&A.

Women In Film Wednesdays Film Series will vary its programming between fiction and documentary.

The first three films move from comedy to documentary to drama. Each screening in the series will benefit a local women’s service organization. This month’s film will benefit the Family Diversity Collective.

The film screens starting at 7 p.m. at Sudbury Secondary School's Sheridan Auditorium. Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
