The craft collective will be opening its doors Dec. 6 from 11a.m – 4 p.m. at the Parkside Centre, 140 Durham St., in downtown Sudbury.

The larger location allows for twice as many artists than last years show.

The Makers Market is a collective of artists showcasing the work of independent and emerging artists and crafters in Sudbury while encouraging the larger community to get involved.

Local artists are challenging the perception of craft as a retro pastime by creating handmade items with a decidedly modern spin.

Admission is free and all are welcome to browse through treasures including pottery, textiles, instruments, lighting, books, jewelry, and more.

A spontaneous craft station will be set up for kids and adults get creative. This event is great for the whole family and an excellent opportunity to support local artists while shopping for the holiday season.
