The public is invited to take in an evening of one-act plays at Sudbury Secondary School Nov. 27. ActFest is put on by the school's senior drama majors.

This year the evening will feature three plays by award-winning, contemporary Canadian playwrights Norm Foster, Celia McBride and Nika Rylski. The students' work has been guided and polished by Sudbury Secondary's drama and visual arts teacher Allisyn Wood.

The program this Friday will include McBride's “Her Only Customer,” where a restaurant server psychoanalyzes the dark side of a mysterious customer, Rylski's “The Tie That Binds,” first produced as a CBC Radio play in 1982, and Foster's

My Narrator,” bringing a more recent rom-com by this prolific Canadian icon to the stage.

The event starts at 7 p.m. at the Sheridan Auditorium. Tickets cost $5 for seniors and students and $8 for adults at the door.
