The snow has been falling in heaps this week, so you might as well get out there and enjoy it this weekend at Coniston Winterfest.
The three-day event kicks off on Friday at 7 a.m. with the start of the weekend-long hockey tournament that wraps around a bevvy of other fun activities.
Winterfest is sponsored by the Coniston Community Action Network and Coniston Minor Hockey Association, in conjuction with Easter Seals – Snowarama.
Friday night will include skating under the stars at 6:30 p.m. at the Coniston outdoor rink and will be accompanied by music provided by Breakwood DJ Services, as well as a community bonfire with hot chocolate and timbits.
Saturday will open with a 9 a.m. pancake breakfast, befor moving into Valentine's Day cookie decorating, snowshoe golf and lots of other outdoor fun.
The festival wraps up on Sunday with the hockey tournament semi finals and finals sandwiched around porketta bingo, raffles, baking, knitting and more.
