Another name added to Liberal candidacy ballot in Nickel Belt

Paul Finley, an economic development officer with the City of Greater Sudbury, is the seventh person who has announced he will seek the federal Liberal nomination in Nickel Belt.

Paul Finley The man has also been a municipal councillor in West Nipissing since 1999. Finley is the a resident of Kipling, a small town about an hour away from Greater Sudbury. Lynne Reynolds, Louise Portelance, Shawn Murphy, Sylvain Beaudry and Gerard Guimond have also announced they want to become the next Liberal MP in Nickel Belt.

Finley says he's never been a card-carrying Liberal because he believes in supporting the best candidate. He decided to run for the party because he is so impressed with Stephane Dion, who was elected the new Liberal leader last month.

“I see a renewed potential for the Liberal party to lead this country in the direction that I think it should go."
