Get a free bus ride to and from SummerFest

Greater Sudbury Transit will offer free shuttle service to people attending SummerFest at Bell Park in order to avoid traffic congestion on Paris Street.

Shuttles will run in the evenings from Friday, Aug. 28 to Sunday, Aug. 30, leaving the New Sudbury Shopping Centre from 7:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m., and from Plaza 69 from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m.

Buses will depart from designated stops on Paris Street, in front of Bell Park.

The shuttles will depart from the New Sudbury Shopping Centre for Bell Park then proceed to Plaza 69 and return to Bell Park.

The complete schedule is as follows:

7:30 p.m. - from New Sudbury Shopping Centre

8 p.m. - from Plaza 69

8:30 p.m. - from New Sudbury Shopping Centre

9 p.m. - from Plaza 69

9:30 p.m. - from New Sudbury Shopping Centre

10 p.m. - from Plaza 69

10:30 p.m. - from New Sudbury Shopping Centre

11 p.m. - from Plaza 69

11:30 p.m. - from New Sudbury Shopping Centre

midnight – from Plaza 69

12:30 a.m. - from New Sudbury Shopping Centre

1 a.m. - from Plaza 69

  • This is not a free bus ride.
    Someone is paying for it courtesy of taxpayers.

  • I'm sure glad I didn't take the free ride or I would have been stuck at this venue for the evening. How could someone take their kids there and enjoy themselves with all the profanity from the main stage. People on the boardwalk and at Science North were even complaining about the profanity even though the band was good. Arrived at 7 gone by 7:20.
