Sudbury Regional Hospital has announced that it is officially “out of” the H1N1 (swine flu) surge.

Additional critical care beds will remain operational at the Memorial Site until Dec. 18 to help make up lost case time for cardiac surgeries. Several operating room blocks have also been added over the next seven weeks in order to address surgical back logs incurred during the H1N1 surge.

The hospital has also stopped posting daily information about the effect of H1N1 on the hospital system.
