The Sudbury Regional Envirothon Championships were held April 22 at Science North.

Ninety-five students from 15 schools in the Sudbury region competed for the right to go onto the Ontario championships, which will be held in St. George, Ontario, from May 6 to 9.

Grade 11 and 12 students first answered questions onĀ  how to preserve and improve the environment in one of four different categories: aquatics, forestry, soils and wildlife.

Students also developed short presentations using a variety of media and techniques, including posters and oral presentations, to identify ways to maintain the different areas of the environment discussed.
