Students at Queen Elizabeth Public school are kicking off their food drive this afternoon, Nov. 18, at 1:40 p.m.
The students are taking part in the Kids Helping Kids food drive, which has been run by long-time organizer Edgar Burton. He will be on hand today to speak to students and help them launch their food drive.
Last year, several schools participated in the food drive, said Nicole Charette of the Rainbow District School board, though this specific event is celebrating the Queen Elizabeth Public School's food drive specifically.
