MS Awareness Month marked in May

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is drawing attention to the services it provides at the MS Centre of Hope, located at 2750 Bancroft Dr.

A computer training centre, a workout gym available to the public ages 19 and over at a cost of $25 per month and massage therapy services and are now offered.

May is MS Awareness month.

Carnations are being sold throughout the city between May 6 and 9. The MS Walk is Sunday May 30 at the Hope Centre. The five and 10 km walk begins at 11 a.m. with registration at 9 a.m.

MS is a debilitating disease affecting hundreds of people in our community. The disease can lead to problems seeing or speaking, extreme fatigue, loss of balance, weakness, numbness or loss of coordination.
