Sinkhole reduces Riverside to one lane

Riverside Drive is down to one lane after a broken water main created a sinkhole near Cross Street. According to a press release from the Greater Sudbury Police, a motorist got his vehicle stuck in the sink hole during the evening of June 29.

According to a press release from the Greater Sudbury Police, a motorist got his vehicle stuck in the sink hole during the evening of June 29.

The city has closed Riverside Drive to one lane between Regent and Winchester Streets as they work to repair the water main and fix the sinkhole.

In a press release, the city said it expects repairs to be completed today, June 30.
