A $50,000 investment from the provincial government will help NCS Technology with the development of its new and complex data management system, which could help mining companies across the province.

The software developer received the investment from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation's Emerging Technology Program.

NCS Technology is working on a management system that will help improve mine production reporting, according to a press release. The new system would enhance an existing web-based interface that gathers and analyzes mining information.

"I am very pleased that our support is helping NCS Technology develop this innovative system in Sudbury and further positioning our region as a leader in mining supply and services,” Rick Bartolucci, Sudbury MPP, said in the press release.
