Lifeguards off duty

The city's summer swimming season is over and the lifeguards are no longer on duty.

As of Aug. 22, lifeguard supervision at the Bell Park main beach, Capreol public beach, Kalmo beach in Valley East, Moonlight beach, Nepahwin Park beach, Meatbird Park beach in Lively, and Whitewater Lake Park in Azilda has been ended.

Residents are still welcome to use the beaches, but must do so at their own risk, according to a press release from the city.
