Three Laurentian University-bound bus routes have changed to avoid picketing Northern Ontario School of Medicine workers.

The University via Paris route 500, Regent/University route 501, and Regent/Unversity/Four Corners route 502 have made changes.

Route 500 will remain on South Bay Road to the turnaround, then return in the same direction.

Routes 501 and 502 will stay on Ramsey Lake Road to the Algoma Hospital and return the same way, servicing the South Bay Road turnaround.

For more information about these changes or for City Transit questions, phone 705-675-3333.

  • Just imagine those who have relatives/friends at the Hospice and nursing home who get "the call" and rush to their loved ones bedside only to be held up by picketers...........

  • Typical. Caving into a terrorist unions demands. If they disrupt or block traffic...Arrest them.

  • Why do taxpayers have to be inconvienced by this strike? The bus drivers are not doing anyones job but thier own and that is delivering passengers to thier destination. I dont think the City (or Jrod) should make exceptions because of the picket line.

  • My vote is for suiting the busses up with push bumpers. I'll even make a donation.

  • To my fellow colleagues who ride the bus: I'm getting off at the stop just before the lights on Ramsey Lake Road, right beside the big silver building (Willet Green Miller). You can walk around the left side of the building along a trail. This gets you to the stairs (at the science building stop) a lot sooner than trekking up the hill from the lights. One quick jaunt across the parking lot and you're there (science buildings, library, classroom/arts, etc).
