GlucaGen Hypokit recalled

Nova Nordisk Canada Inc. is voluntarily recalling two lots of its GlucaGen Hypokit. The hypokit is used in emergency situations to deal with hypoglycemic shock. A manufacturing defect has prompted the recall.

Nova Nordisk Canada Inc. is voluntarily recalling two lots of its GlucaGen Hypokit. The hypokit is used in emergency situations to deal with hypoglycemic shock. A manufacturing defect has prompted the recall.

Novo Nordisk Canada Inc. is recalling two lots, YW60335 and YW60351, of its GlucaGen Hypokit.

A manufacturing defect in the hypokit has prompted the voluntary recall.

The hypokit is used to treat severe hypoglycemic reactions in people with diabetes, when the reaction has caused unconsciousness.

There have been no negative reactions from the use of these lots to date.
