Rick Bartolucci unchallenged as Liberal riding representative

Rick Bartolucci faced no challengers at the Sudbury Provincial Liberal Riding Association's nomination meeting on Dec. 16. Bartolucci, who has been the Liberal representative of the Sudbury riding since 1995, was officially acclaimed at the meeting.

Bartolucci, who has been the Liberal representative of the Sudbury riding since 1995, was officially acclaimed at the meeting.


“(Bartolucci) is known for his passion and hard work, he knows northern issues and is a strong advocate for Sudburians at Queen's Park," Bill Nurmi, the association's president, stated in a press release.


More than 200 supporters, family, and friends gathered with Bartolucci to celebrate the former school teacher and principal's acclamation.


"The interests of Sudbury and the north will continue to be the focus of my representation during the upcoming campaign," Bartolucci stated in the press release.


"I believe that Sudbury is worth fighting for."
