Fournier visited Haiti after the devastating earthquakes last year. He shared a slideshow with the students, depicting the struggles but also the hopes of Haitians as they try to rebuild.

The presentation was a way for the school to address its “virtue of the month” — empathy.

Students donated coins to the Mission Par La Foie Orphanage in Haiti.

Fournier is also collecting donations to support the orphanage from the community. For more information, visit www.saveourhaiti.com or phone Fournier at 705-692-3974.
