Union opens Richard Lake campground to public

The Local Mine Mill 598/CAW Campground, located at Richard Lake on Highway 69 South, is officially open.

Mine Mill manages the 37-acre park, which has 72 of the 135 sites open for members. A new state-of-the-art water system, which complies with the latest potable water regulation, has been installed.

Sewage pump-out is available to campers on request.

Campers have access to wireless Internet, washroom and shower facilities. Mine Mill hopes to reopen the remaining 63 sites, recreational areas and baseball fields, by 2012.
