Four new businesses run by local young entrepreneurs are receiving financial help from the provincial government.

Four new businesses run by local young entrepreneurs are receiving financial help from the provincial government.

According to a press release, $96,051 will be allocated from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) to help young business owners offer “new products and services” and help create jobs in Greater Sudbury.

“Sudbury's future is being shaped by the entrepreneurial spirit of our youth, whom are actively supported through the NOHFC,” Sudbury MPP Rick Bartolucci stated, in a press release.

“These young entrepreneurs are an essential part of our business community and contribute to local growth, job creation and prosperity.”

The following businesses are receiving funding:

  • $25,000 to Born to Shop Boutique, a women's clothing store in downtown Sudbury.
  • $25,000 to Squeegee Gang, a window cleaning business.
  • $25,000 to Northern Screams Party Store, a one stop shop for costumers, accessories, inflatable and portable structures for events and occasions.
  • $21,051 to Key Logic, a software contracting business that specializes in 3D graphics and related technologies.
