Broken water main on Regent causes traffic delays

UPDATED Jan. 3 at 5:20 p.m. All southbound lanes on Regent Street near the Four Corners will reopen at approximately 6 p.m. Jan. 3 following repairs to a broken water main. Additional lane closures will be necessary Jan.

UPDATED Jan. 3 at 5:20 p.m.

All southbound lanes on Regent Street near the Four Corners will reopen at approximately 6 p.m. Jan. 3 following repairs to a broken water main.

Additional lane closures will be necessary Jan. 4, to repair a leaking water main valve at the intersection of Paris Street and Long Lake Road, according to a press release from the City of Greater Sudbury.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 4, the left turn lane from southbound Regent to Paris Street will close until approximately 9 p.m.

A broken water main has reduced the west side lanes to one on Regent Street near the Four Corners Jan. 3.

Motorists should expect delays in this area during the morning rush hour, according to a statement from the City of Greater Sudbury.
