The bylaw prohibits parking on roadways and laneways between the hours of midnight and 7 a.m. Commercial vehicles and trailers exceeding two tonnes are banned from parking on any roadway or laneway between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
This overnight parking restriction is enforced seven days a week, the city stated. Motorists parked in violation will be ticketed and the vehicle may be towed if it is impeding snow plowing or snow-removal operations.
