Sudbury's downtown core will transform into the bargain hunter's paradise May 26.

Downtown Sudbury is poised to once again play host to the city’s largest yard and sidewalk sale. The shopping gets underway at 9 a.m. and runs until 3:30 p.m. It all takes place on Larch Street, between Elgin and Durham streets.

There will be everything from handmade jewelry to antique/collectibles to crafts and old used books. More than 115 tables will be set up as residents strive to find that one-of-a-kind treasure or that ‘new-to-you’ keepsake, according to Downtown Sudbury.

There will also be fun for the whole family with live musical talent featuring Stewart Doran (10:30 a.m.), Chicks with Pics (11:30 a.m.), Dani Star (12:30 p.m.), The Travellin Medicine Show with the Fyfes (1:30 p.m.) and Paul Disalle (2:30 p.m.)

For the kids, there will be face painting and balloons, and new this year, Sudbury Cycles (Rainbow Routes) will be hosting a bike rodeo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for children ages six to 12 (who must bring their own bicycle and helmet and be accompanied by an adult).

This free event will teach children how to cycle safely through hands-on riding activities.

Free parking is available at all municipal lots and meters.

For more details, phone Maureen Luoma at Downtown Sudbury at 705-674-5115.
