In preparation for the opening of the new South End Library, the temporary site located at 2120 Regent St. will close at 5 p.m. on June 15.

For the convenience of library patrons, the outdoor book return will remain at the rear of the building until the new building opens, according to a news release from the city.

The grand opening of the new South End Library, located at 1991 Regent St., will take place later in the summer. In the interim, patrons are welcome to visit the Main Library at 74 Mackenzie St., or any other branch of the Greater Sudbury Public Library. Locations and hours are available online at www.sudburylibraries.ca.

The Greater Sudbury Public Library begins its Summer Reading Club program during the week of July 9. South End patrons are welcome to participate in these activities and performances each Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Southridge Mall. Special performances include a reptile show, magic show and musical acts.

Residents will be informed about the opening of the new South End Library as the summer progresses.

Updates will also be available at www.sudburylibraries.ca or via the Greater Sudbury Public Library and City of Greater Sudbury social media sites. The GSPL can be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/GSPLibrary and on Twitter @GSPLibrary.

The City of Greater Sudbury wishes to thank residents for their patience during this transition.
