UPDATED - July 13, 4:45 p.m.

The 13-13-13 tattoo event is now closed. The Twisted Doll posted the following announcement on their Facebook page around 3:45 p.m. this afternoon.

"Due to the amazing and wonderful response to this event, we regret to inform you that we are currently at full capacity and are no longer accepting any more clients for 13-13-13. Thank you so much to all of you who stood in line and patiently waited!"

Original story:

To mark Friday the 13th, The Twisted Doll tattoo studio is holding a 13-13-13 event.

For 13 hours, clients can line up outside the studio on Elm Street (how fitting) to get twoonie-sized tattoos for only $13.

Twisted Doll artists created several different designs from which clients can choose. The Friday the 13th-inspired designs include black cats, horror movie icons (like Jason Voorhees' hockey mask and Freddy's glove) and, naturally, the number 13.

The Twisted Doll owner and lead artist, Amy Patterson, said the money raised will be going to a charitable fund in support of local art and music programs.

“(We’re) hoping it will lead to creating a bursary for high school students that are from an art or music program.” she said.

If tattoos aren’t your thing, the studio is holding a silent art auction today at Electric Avenue located at 43 Elm St., with pieces created by local artists, including Twisted Doll's own tattooists.

The 13-13-13 tattooing event ends at 10 p.m. July 13. The Twisted Doll is located at 65 Elm St.
