This year's edition of Ribfest promises to be “bigger and better” than before. From Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, downtown Sudbury will be overtaken by rib teams, offering up delicious reasons to check out the festivities.

In order to make the event a success, organizers are looking for volunteers. Those interested are asked to register by calling Downtown Sudbury at 705-674-5115,

or drop by the office located at 7 Cedar St., Unit 102 from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. or email patrfest@hotmail.ca.

Registration sheets are also available online at www.downtownsudbury.com.

Help is needed with tasks like setting up, tearing down, children's events, green team maintenance, site patrol and beverage sales.
