Marasco joins NE LHIN board

The former vice-president of Mission, Ethics, Spiritual and Religious Care at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Sudbury has been appointed to the North East Local Health Integration Network Board of Directors.

Santina Marasco was to attend her first board meeting today, after receiving her Order in Council on Aug. 15, 2012 for a term of up to three years.

Marasco has had a long and varied career focused primarily on helping patients and families through times of crisis and grief. Besides serving as vice-president and director of spiritual care at St. Joseph’s for the past 12 years, she also worked as a staff Chaplain at the former Sudbury General Hospital for eight years.

Marasco began her career as an elementary school teacher with the Catholic board in Sudbury in 1970 and went on to manage a chain of businesses in the 1980s.
