No injuries after Creighton Mine fire

There were no injuries after a fire late in the afternoon of Aug. 29 at Creighton Mine.

Vale spokesperson Amanda Eady said in an email statement the fire occurred at the 3,800 level of the mine's number five shaft. Mine rescue and the city's fire services were called out, and all employees were accounted for.

The all-clear was given at around 9 p.m., and the employees were brought to surface.
