The ReStore is a big part of what Habitat for Humanity does. It's a major fundraiser for the organization, and it allows the group to be part of the community.

On Sept. 23, Sudburians are invited to experience the new home of the ReStore at 444 Barrydowne Rd., next to Pizza Hut. Habitat has been working out of the ReStore for a few months now, but is looking forward to a grand opening.

“We want to invite the community to join in celebrating Habitat’s progress,” said Michel Julien, Habitat’s executive chair. “We have received great feedback about the new ReStore and we are excited about Habitat’s future initiatives in Sudbury.”

A barbecue will get underway at 1:30 p.m., and new merchandise will be available in the shop throughout the day. Silent auction items are currently on display at the store — winning bidders will be announced at 3:30 p.m. the day of the open house.

Guests are welcome to stop by the ReStore or RSVP their attendance to Julien at mjulien@eastlink.ca or 705-586-9634.
