Paula Peroni, president of the Canadian Catholic School Trustees' Association and past president of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association, will represent Sudbury for the Ontario Progressive Conservative party in the upcoming provincial election.

She accepted the role Oct. 6 at a meeting of the Sudbury Riding PC party.

“I very graciously and humbly accept the PC nomination for the Sudbury riding,” Peroni said.

She said Sudburians “deserve the absolute finest representation at Queen's Park,” and said she plans to bring it to constituents.

“My role will be to bring your voices, concerns and remedies to Queen's Park, and be sure they are heard loud and clear,” she said. “Your priorities are my priorities.”

Some issues she mentioned included insurance rates, affordable housing for seniors and opportunities for entrepreneurs.

“I'm going to work very hard to win this riding,” Peroni said.
