Plenty of free family fun is up for grabs Oct. 13 as Sudbury celebrates Week of the Child.

The Week of the Child committee is playing host to its annual Free Family Fun Day in downtown Sudbury to kick off the week-long initiative.

A free pancake breakfast gets the ball rolling between 9-10:30 a.m. at 111 Larch St. The fun continues right through the afternoon and will be capped off with a free family swim at the YMCA from 2-3 p.m.

Week of the Child, running from Oct. 13-20, is a week dedicated to celebrating and valuing children in Greater Sudbury. -Family Entertainment — Family Zumba, Irish heritage dancers, Play Learn Think, Young Sudbury Singers and others.
