Man faces impaired charges following motorcycle crash

On Oct. 20, shortly before 3 a.m., a motorcycle lost control and crashed while travelling westbound on Lorne Street near Applegrove Street. There were two people on the motorcycle. The female passenger was transported to hospital by EMS with non-life threatening injuries. The male driver was determined to be impaired.

Upon search after the arrest, he was also found to be in possession of Oxycodone and Adderall. He was also determined to be breaching his court ordered conditions.

As a result, the 23-year-old Sudbury driver was charged with impaired driving, blowing over .08, two counts of possession of controlled drugs and breaching his court order. He will be held for a bail hearing.
