House fire under investigation

A preliminary investigation into the Oct. 20 house fire on Bodson Drive in Val Caron determined that no criminal offence occurred, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The criminal investigation division and the identification were both involved in the investigation.

The scene has been released to the owner pending further investigation from Greater Sudbury Fire Services.

On Oct. 20 around 8:30 p.m., Greater Sudbury Police were called to help Greater Sudbury Fire Services with a house fire on Bodson Drive in Val Caron. An unoccupied residence that was under construction was completely destroyed. There were no injuries.

The fire has been deemed to be suspicious and an investigation has commenced. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 222-TIPS (8477), online at www.sudburycrimestoppers.com or by texting TIPSUD and the information to CRIMES (274637).
