The Sudbury and District Labour Council and United Way Sudbury and Nipissing Districts are hosting the 13th annual Labour Breakfast Oct. 26.

The event starts at 7 a.m. at the Steelworkers Hall on Brady Street.

This breakfast is hosted to celebrate the partnership and to encourage workplace campaigns to raise funds for United Way’s annual campaign.

This year’s keynote speaker is Ron Lessard, executive director of the Learning Disabilities Association of Sudbury. Also this year, a cheque will be presented to United Way for the Elliot Lake Relief Fund.

Proceeds from the Labour Day Event are being donated to help support another northern community in need.

For more information, phone the United Way Sudbury and Nipissing Districts at 705-560-3330.
