Rainbow District School Board offers free credit courses during the day to any adults 19 years of age and older who have been out of high school for at least one semester.
Adults can earn two high school credits in approximately six weeks.
To register, visit the Adult Education Centre at Sudbury Secondary School’s Davidson Street entrance weekdays from 9-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4 p.m. Oct. 29-31.
When registering, students should bring a copy of their transcript from the last high school attended as well as a birth certificate and health card.
The Adult Education Centre offers adult day classes leading to completion of a high school diploma.
Block 2 of adult day classes will begin Nov. 1. and continue until Dec. 19. Classes offered this block include biology, math, English, food and nutrition, information and communication technology, parenting and visual arts. Co-op placements and Independent Learning Courses (ILC) are also available.
A total of five blocks of six-week long classes will be offered throughout the school year.
