Local Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) members will begin their job action Nov. 19.

Other OSSTF locals working for 20 school boards across the province began job action earlier this week because they were in a strike position.

However, OSSTF members working for the Rainbow District School Board are only in a strike position as of Nov. 15.

OSSTF District 3 president James Clyke, who represents secondary teachers with the Rainbow board, said his union will be taking various job actions.

These include refusing to participate in staff meetings, professional development days, standardized testing, replacing absent administrators, or participating in parent-teacher interviews outside of the school day.
