Nominations are now being accepted by the 27th annual Northern Ontario Business Awards (NOBA).

Over the years, NOBA has awarded more than 230 Northern Ontario companies and individuals with a Northern Ontario Business Award for their contributions to the economic wealth of Northern Ontario, as well as employing local citizens.

In a fiercely competitive market, winning an NOBA sets a company apart as a leader. Submit a nomination for either yourself, or someone you know. NOBA winners are profiled in a special, high-glossy magazine and distributed to more than 49,000 business leaders across the region.

Nomination information can be found at www.NOBA.ca. The deadline to nominate is April 19. Self-nominations are encouraged.

Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:
-Company of the Year (1-15 Employees)
-Company of the Year (16-50 Employees)
-Company of the Year (51+ Employees)
-Entrepreneur of the Year
-Young Entrepreneur of the Year
-Entrepreneurial Community of the Year
-First Nations Business Award of Excellence
-Innovation
-Export
-Judges’ Choice

“NOBA really is the Academy Awards of business in Northern Ontario,” said Patricia Mills, Publisher, Northern Ontario Business.

“Being a black-tie celebration of the North’s entrepreneurial elite, it is also a back-slapping gathering of the region’s business, community development and political ‘movers and shakers.'”

The awards gala is widely regarded as Northern Ontario’s largest gathering of movers and shakers — the perfect venue for 500-plus delegates to network and connect business-to-business.

This year’s gala returns to North Bay on Oct. 3.
