The event will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The shelter is waiving the normal adoption fees on animals that came into the Shelter’s care spayed or neutered. To welcome one of these pets into your family, you are only required to purchase a licence. The Shelter also has many animals who can be adopted for the cost of their spays or neuters.

Previous events have been a resounding success with several dogs and cats being adopted. A steady stream of visitors show up, many just looking to take advantage of the open house and tour the shelter. Several beautiful, friendly, playful and healthy fixed and vaccinated adult cats and dogs are looking for homes, according to a news release from the shelter.

Anyone interested in adopting a pet or who would like a tour of the animal shelter is welcome to attend and enjoy a complimentary barbecue and refreshments.
