Sinkhole closes section of Elgin Street

A large sinkhole has closed Elgin Street between Cedar Street and Elm Street, said Greater Sudbury Police Service. City crews are on scene and the road is expected to remain closed for some time.

A large sinkhole has closed Elgin Street between Cedar Street and Elm Street, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

City crews are on scene and the road is expected to remain closed for some time. Motorists are requested to avoid the area and use an alternative route through the downtown.
